Fees
Fees:
The fee for a business valuation report depends on a variety of factors including the amount of time and expense required to conduct interviews, inspect operations and facilities, review and analyze financial information, review and analyze the markets in which the company operates, determine the value drivers of the subject business, find comparative data such as sales of similar companies, review and analyze the various approaches to value (up to eleven) to determine their relevance to the subject company, reconcile all of the data and various approaches to value, create and write a narrative report, review the report for accuracy, and present the report to the client.
Reports:
Depending on the complexity of the business and the factors noted in the above paragraph, our fees range from $2500 and up. Our fees are lower than those charged by large valuation and accounting firms because our overhead is substantially lower. However, the quality and ease of understandability of our finished product is said to be, by many observers, superior. Also, we have more experience in valuing companies whose revenues are under $50 million. For a sample report, please click on sample report page to learn more about our business valuations. Scope of Reports:
It depends on the purpose of the report, the standards that the user of the report sets, and agreement between the user and the business appraiser. If your report is for the IRS, financial planning, a shareholder dispute, is court ordered, for a lender, ESOP, etc., you will want a thorough business valuation report with the scope of the assignment well defined. Our business appraisal reports have stood up to intensive scrutiny by many opponents through thorough research and documentation. If you are simply trying to get an idea of the value of your enterprise, the scope of the assignment can be narrowed and the fees reduced accordingly.
